Benefits of High Fat
- High fat, when paired with high protein and low carbohydrates, enables fat adaptation, enabling higher & more sustained energy levels
- Frees up fatty acids for energy, so more limited sources of energy (including muscle glycogen) are spared, and fatigue is delayed
- Increases palatability, so enough calories of energy-dense food are ingested without large volumes needing to be eaten (less risk of bloat and torsion)

Benefits of High Protein
STAMINA has 40% protein. This helps to:
- Reduce muscle fatigue, helping limit bone and soft tissue injuries
- Build, maintain and repair muscles
- Maintain many other normal body functions
- Replenish the high quantities of protein used by working dogs due to increased protein synthesis and degradation caused by prolonged exercise

How often and how much to feed your working farm dog depends on several factors, such as breed, body condition, season and workload.
How often?
Ideally, working dogs should be feed twice daily, however where this is not practical, once in the evening is the preferred alternative.
How much?
Generally, working dogs should be fed 2% – 3% of their body weight daily. More than this is not recommended to avoid the risk of binding, bloat and/or torsion.
If a dog needs more than this to regain condition, it is better to feed smaller portions twice a day. A dog’s condition will indicate when the feed rate is correct.
