STAMINA is packed full of fat and protein for your working dog and is low in carbohydrates. Here’s why...

Benefits of High Fat

Science tells us that when dogs are fed the right diet, they use the fat as their main energy source during exercise. This process is known as ‘fat adaptation’ and gives dogs more sustained energy over a longer period. Since working dogs need a high-fat diet to perform at their best, STAMINA contains a high-fat content of 45%. STAMINA’s fresh meat content allows for the highest level of fat content in a high-performance dog food.

Benefits of High Protein

STAMINA has 40% protein. This helps to:

How often and how much to feed your working farm dog depends on several factors, such as breed, body condition, season and workload.

How often?

Ideally, working dogs should be feed twice daily, however where this is not practical, once in the evening is the preferred alternative.

How much?

Generally, working dogs should be fed 2% – 3% of their body weight daily.  More than this is not recommended to avoid the risk of binding, bloat and/or torsion.

If a dog needs more than this to regain condition, it is better to feed smaller portions twice a day.  A dog’s condition will indicate when the feed rate is correct.
